Broccoli Cheese Soup 

Ingredients: 
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter
1 package (16 ounce) frozen chopped broccoli
4 cans (14.5 ounces each) chicken broth
1 pound Velveeta cheese (cut into cubes)
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2/3 cup cornstarch

Directions: 
1 Saute onions in butter. Add chicken broth and broccoli. Semi-boil until broccoli is tender. 
2 Lower heat and add cheese cubes. Stir until cheese is melted. Add garlic powder and milk. 
3 Mix cornstarch with water until dissolved. Add to soup. Cook on low until desired thickness, stirring frequently.
 
Makes 12 servings
